How Do Photoluminescent Products Work?

It achieves its luminous capability by absorbing a range of visible light.
In regard to our products, after just 5-15 minutes of light exposure, they can emit a glow in the dark for over 20 hours.
The fundamental mechanism behind photoluminescence involves electronic transitions between different energy states within the atoms or molecules of the material. Here's a simplified overview of the steps involved:

1.Energy Absorption:
Photoluminescent materials contain atoms or molecules with electrons in specific energy levels.
When exposed to light (UV, visible, or even infrared), the electrons absorb photons and gain energy, moving from a lower energy state (ground state) to a higher energy state (excited state).

2.Non-Radiative Relaxation:
In fluorescence, the excited electrons quickly relax to the lowest excited singlet state through non-radiative processes (vibrational relaxation).
In phosphorescence, the electrons may undergo intersystem crossing to a triplet state, which is metastable and allows for a slower release of energy.

3.Energy Emission:
In fluorescence, the electrons return to the ground state almost immediately, emitting the absorbed energy as visible light.
In phosphorescence, the electrons return to the ground state more slowly, resulting in a prolonged emission of light.

Considerations of Photoluminescent Products

Step 1

To ensure optimal performance, please avoid direct contact or friction with metal surfaces during usage.
Step 2

The medium (liquid or solid) to which the luminescent pigment is added should ideally be relatively transparent to facilitate proper light emission.
Step 3

Given that luminous pigments have slight solubility in water, it is crucial to store them in a sealed container to maintain their efficacy.
Step 4

Throughout the production process, it is important to maintain the temperature below 700°C and ensure frequent stirring for uniform distribution of the pigment.
